Life, a Guest Post

Annatjie guest writer Guest post by Annatjie Steele.

Meet Annatjie. She is my first guest writer and I feel very honoured that she agreed to put her pen, or rather her keyboard, to my blog. Annatjie is full of life, always have a wise word and by times hilarious. She is also my young aunt. Enjoy her words about life.

Life is green.
Life is blue.
Life is red, can even be black.

In fact, if you allow your emotions to determine life, it can be any colour of the rainbow!

No, there is more to life than colours.  Life should be caring, sharing, enjoying and most of all, loving.  Sometimes we get so carried away when comparing your life with others, it puts you back a knot or two.  Totally unnecessary!

We all differ, so life won’t have the same meaning or purpose for all of us.

Many a time, I see an elderly lady on the street corners, always on her own.  With a radio on her shoulder and her belongings in a bag, she is dancing, or shall I say, shuffling with not a care in this world.  She appears to be so carefree that I often feel like joining her. No words needed, only the sound of the music and the connection of two women, so very different but both living a life…

How often do we measure life with what we possess?

The more we have, the more we want!  Nothing wrong in having the things you can afford, but does it fulfil your life?  Maybe, just scratch deeper and determine what life really is about. If all assets are taken away from you, what do you have left?

Memories

Don’t allow the grey clouds in your life to hamper you from living life to the fullest.  Make memories that will last you a lifetime…. nobody can take that away from you… that is life!

How do you feel about needing material things to be happy? Would you be able to give your most loved chair to someone else? I’ll be thinking about this too.
